The other day, someone left a comment on one of my posts asking:
“How do I start with Print on Demand, and what kind of products could I sell?”
And honestly, I loved the question. It got me thinking so much that I knew I had to talk about it with you right here as if we were sitting down for a cozy coffee chat together ☕💬
So today, I want to open up this conversation with you.
If you’ve ever thought about launching your own product line, or you’ve heard of Print-on-Demand but weren’t sure where to begin, this post is for you 💻✨

First Things First: Who Are You Creating For?
Before choosing any product or platform, the most important step is defining your niche.
Ask yourself:
Who do I want to serve?
What inspires them?
What kind of transformation or feeling do I want my designs to create?
This is about more than just selling. It’s about purpose. Your products are little pieces of inspiration, and they can make someone smile, feel seen, or empowered 💖
What is Print on Demand, Really?
Print-on-demand is a business model that enables you to sell physical products, such as t-shirts, mugs, or posters, without incurring the costs of inventory or materials.
You simply upload your design, choose a product, and when someone buys it, the platform prints and ships it for you. Easy, right?
It’s a great option especially if:
You’re just starting out
You don’t want to worry about inventory or packaging
You want to test ideas before going big
It’s low-risk but full of potential. Your biggest investment here will be your time and creativity.
My Go-To Print on Demand Platforms: Printify, Printful & Gelato
While the original question was about Printify, I love using a mix of print-on-demand platforms. Each has its strengths.
One cool thing? You can use them together in the same shop. For example:
Maybe Printify has the mugs you love, but Gelato has the better art prints. Use both! You get to build the product lineup that fits your creative vision.
Let’s Talk Product Ideas!
That depends on your niche. Here’s an example from one of mine:
If you’re a coffee lover ☕, you could create a mini collection just for that tribe of fellow caffeine queens.
Some product ideas:
Mugs with fun or motivational phrases
T-shirts or sweatshirts with quotes like: “Coffee First, Chaos Later” or “Fueled by Coffee & Dreams”
Art prints or posters for the kitchen or home office
These are products that I would buy, and that’s the trick. Create for people like you. It makes it easier and way more fun!
A Quick Tip if You’re Just Starting Out:
Start with 2–3 products, not 20
Focus on quality and connection
Think in mini collections (like a “Coffee Vibes” drop ☕✨)
Test and adjust as you go, it’s all part of the process
