Feeling Creatively Stuck? Here’s How I’m Getting My Focus Back (Plus a Free Printable Tool)

Lately, I’ve felt like a computer with 34 tabs open, one of them playing music and I have no idea where it’s coming from.

Open notebook with handwritten notes, red highlights, and a black pen on a wooden table. Iced Starbucks drink labeled "Max" in the background.
My notebook with 34 tabs open… scribbled in my own handwriting :)

I have so many ideas, so many projects I’m excited about, so much creative energy trying to break through…

But at the same time, I’ve also had this deep desire to crawl under the covers with my planner and pretend I’ve already got my life together.

Ever been there?

That confusing combo of “I want to do everything” and “I can’t handle anything”?

So, what am I doing about it?

I’m in full-on creative reboot mode.

Going back to basics: writing things down, making lists, saying no (nervously but firmly), and sorting through the mental clutter—kind of like cleaning out your makeup drawer after a move.

Everything’s a mess, but with a little intention, it’s starting to look pretty again.

A Tool That’s Saving Me (And Doesn’t Even Need WiFi)

I made myself a checklist for those “I have a thousand ideas but don’t know which one to tackle” kind of days.

Basically, it’s a simple little sheet to help my brain breathe and get a bit of clarity.

🎁 You can download it for free here: Creative Clarity Checklist

(And yes, if you print it out and forget it on your desk for a week, I totally get it.)

This resource is a little gift to help you recenter yourself. Please don’t sell it or share it as your own. Thanks for respecting the creative work behind it. 💛

A Note on the Super Value Bundle (And What’s Coming Next)

I know I haven’t added new designs to the Super Value Bundle lately, and while no one has asked me about it, I do feel responsible for sharing the “why” behind it.

The truth is, I just haven’t been able to design the way I’d like to.

Between meaningful collaborations, hands-on content creation, and personal creative shifts, I found myself right back in burnout territory (again).

And this time, I realized I seriously need to start saying “no” more often.

Because yes, I love working with brands, but I take it seriously.

When I agree to a collaboration, it’s not just a post-and-go kind of deal. I actually try the product, make sure I love it, and only share it with my community if I feel it truly brings value.

Recently, I shared two machines from Locklick that really surprised me in the best way:

Both of them have me feeling inspired and full of ideas I’d love to share, especially around what you can actually make and sell with them.

👉 If you’d be interested in a blog post about products you could create using these tools, let me know in the comments or shoot me a message!

And while no new designs have made it into the Bundle just yet, I’m still doing my best to add value to your creative journey in other ways.

Like this free checklist I created straight out of my own mental chaos,

and I truly hope it helps you find focus and clarity whenever you need it, too.

Una nota final (de verdad final)

Alongside everything I’ve shared here, I’ve decided that this summer, I’m finally doing something radical:

taking a real break.

It’s been years since I gave myself a proper vacation, the kind without guilt, WiFi, or 47 tabs open in my brain.

And now that my daughter is also on school break, I want to enjoy this season with her, slow down, and give myself permission to recharge.

But just to be clear:

✨ I’m not disappearing.

✨ I’m not stepping away for good.

✨ I’m not closing any doors.

What’s coming after this pause is beautiful.

I’m quietly organizing the next chapter, one that’s filled with ideas I’m genuinely excited about (even though I’m not ready to talk about them just yet 😉).

So if you see me a little less on Instagram, don’t worry.

I’m just pulling back the bowstring… getting ready for something intentional, creative, and full of heart.

I’ll still pop in here on the blog, when I have something meaningful to share, not out of pressure, but from purpose.

Sincerely,

Barbie
